NACOFTAN 

Established in 2004, the National Association of Coffee and Tea in Nigeria (NACOFTAN) is a non-profit, membership-driven organization that brings together stakeholders across the coffee and tea value chains in Nigeria.

Mission

NACOFTAN's mission is to elevate the standing of Nigerian coffee and tea within the global market and conversation through a dedication to sustainable growth, innovation, and collaboration; we strive to position Nigeria as a global factor in the beverage industry, empower local communities, especially youth and women, and inspire worldwide palates with our rich, indigenous coffees and teas.

Vision

  • Empower coffee and tea stakeholders across Nigeria, especially in key production regions, by implementing sustainable agricultural practices. Our vision is to ensure food security and decent work and economic growth for farmers, processors, and marketers.
  • Promote gender equality and eradicate poverty by fostering inclusive value chains. NACOFTAN envisions a future where women and youth actively participate in and benefit from the coffee and tea industry.
  • Lead the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices, contributing to climate action and life on land. NACOFTAN's vision is to ensure the responsible production and consumption of coffee and tea while safeguarding natural resources.
  • Establish NACOFTAN as a knowledge-driven innovation hub, contributing to industry insights and quality education. Our vision is to provide continuous learning opportunities through local and international workshops, fostering innovation across the coffee and tea value chains.
  • Preserve Nigeria's rich cultural heritage by promoting indigenous coffees and teas, contributing to responsible consumption and production and sustainable cities and communities.
